Episode 1 (제1화) is the first episode of The Patron of Villains Webtoon series.
Plot
The chapter begins with a glimpse ten years into the future, when the Union of Eastern Kingdoms faces a catastrophe brought by the Five Prime Sins and it ceases to exist. Determined to prevent that disaster, Allon wants to become their patron and change their lives before they can bring about the kingdom’s downfall. Allon (a former corporate drone doing 78 hour work weeks) is still adjusting to his new life of luxury. His servants prepare lavish meals, assist him with everything he needs, and even carry him to an indoor pool. Although he enjoys the comfort, he cannot shake the feeling that he recognizes the world around him. He eventually realizes that he has entered Psychedelia, a RPG game that he played obsessively in his previous life. Regardless of which route a player takes, the Five Great Sins: Wrath, Greed, Sloth, Pride, and Obsession eventually appear and begin the destruction of the kingdom. The Palateo family is the very first kingdom to get wiped out by the five prime sins, and he has been reincarnated as Allon Palateo, the third son of Count Palateo. House Palateo operates a crime syndicate. Rather than accepting the game’s predetermined future, Allon decides to remove the causes of the kingdom’s destruction by finding and rehabilitating all Five Prime Sins while they are still young, since he knows what's gonna happen in the future. Two months later, Evan, Allon's Personal Knight, reports to Allon saying that he has rescued the orphans at the human experiment lab which was out in the east and put a girl named Eutiah in charge of the new orphanage. Evan reports that Eutiah is exceptionally capable and asks how Allon knew so much about her before meeting her. Having previously worked as a mercenary, Evan recognizes that Eutiah is no ordinary child. Allon knows that Eutiah is destined to become the Sin of Wrath, a ruthless woman who is capable of slaughtering hundreds of thousands of people. However, he believes it is still too early to bring her directly to the Pallatio estate. Instead, he orders Evan to continue caring for her and gives him a letter to deliver. Allon secretly fills the letter with quotes that that he heard that was used during her arc in the game. He hopes the familiar words will comfort her, although he does not realize how strongly she will react. Evan witnesses her transformation and realizes that Allon’s letter has awakened something dangerous. The Chapter ends with Allon sleeping peacefully in his mansion.
